$Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy - Excessive force Trophy Guide / Achievement Guide Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy - Excessive force Trophy Guide / Achievement Guide - Break free from a Corrupted’s grab with a Focus attack [Silver] “Corrupted” are the enemies referred to as “Puppets” in-game. They are the heavily armored enemies, normally you have to take off their head so their blue tentacles stick out and you aim the sphere’s laser beam to kill them. For this trophy, DON’T take off their heads and wait for one to grab you. Then you get the :triangle: prompt to break free, but instead of doing that, for the trophy you have to press TRIANGLE & CIRCLE to do a Focus Attack. You must have a fully charged Focus bar (the yellow bar in the bottom left, next to your health). You can get a full Focus Bar by repeatedly attacking or parrying these enemies. If you only press TRIANGLE you won’t get the trophy. The Focus Attack will swing a chain around you to hit the enemy. Be sure to play on Nightmare difficulty (the highest difficulty) and enable Invincible Mode. You can change this at any time in Settings - General - Difficulty & Invincible Mode. On Narrative difficulty you automatically dodge all attacks and can’t be grabbed, and on lower difficulties they rarely do the grabbing move. You can do this in Chapter XI: Patera, Subchapter 3: Puppets, Objective: Follow the beam. However, it doesn’t seem to work on the first puppet encounter. Defeat the first group, then go down the elevator and reach the 2nd puppet encounter. Do it there. Remember leave their head intact so they remain in their 1st form (the “human-like” form). They rarely do the grabbing move, it might take a while. If they never do it, restart checkpoint or move on and try on another group, it’s a bit random.
