The future of agricultural resilience depends on growing an economic system that makes better practices viable at scale. A new flywheel is emerging, in which farmers adopt soil- and water-improving practices, measurement and verification create trusted data, capital helps de-risk the transition, and corporate demand increasingly values improved resilience supported by environmental outcomes such as carbon, water, and nature. The pilots are promising, but we’ll need system-wide buy-in to transform the way we grow.
