On January 4, 2024, a Little Rock Police Department vehicle was left unlocked and running at the LRPD 12th Street substation. A 22 year old mentally afflicted man hopped into it and took off. A few minutes later he crashed into a wall on a nearby interstate. LRPD did not find out about the stolen vehicle until the wreck occurred and were contacted by ASP dispatch.
