A Season of Love || Thales Venghen - Round 3: Free

I feel so bad! I wasn't able to color the last three minutes of the round and do touch ups, but this is a motherload of a round. Eleven minutes of drama. Hopefully you all enjoy!

~STORY POINTS~
Thales, finds that despite the time he spends with Mayra, he sees her more as a friend then anything else. Later he finds that she, and Kalis, have been harassed by members of nobility. Thales and the other guests come across a portrait of the king and queen. There's a tense atmosphere left behind after Kalis spots it.
After the tour, Thales returns to his room along with Robin, but finds that the room has been absolutely stormed through. Everything seems to be intact, aside from his most recent letter to his grandfather, which had embarrassingly been about Aeliana. (He isn't sure why his writing led to him talking about her, but on later reflection, he starts to see how much he's appreciated his time with her.) Thales realizes that Robin's room might be in a similar state as he rushes over to help. But before he can enter, Robin quickly turns him away, not in the right state of mind for help or comfort. Feeling bad, Thales does leave him alone, though keeps his offer for help open.
The next day, Thales and Robin overhear a couple of nobles talking bad about the guests, particularly the ones of commoner blood. Robin is quick to shut them down, while Thales sarcastically turns their comments back on them. Seeing how ready Thales was to defend him, Robin apologizes for his earlier brash attitude, though Thales easily accepts the apology knowing that Robin didn't mean to be rude. (They're besties.)
Thales has an interview with the Queen. He decides to be brutally honest with her about his arrival, seeing as he does care about the royal twins and their family, and doesn't want to stay here under false pretenses. To his surprise, the queen allows him to remain in the palace as a guest, seeing as he has made an effort to be kind and befriend Mayra. (Didn't have time to show here, but she also gives him her blessing to court her, if he wishes.) After asking why she's so readily accepting of commoners courting her grandchildren, the Queen reveals the history of her daughter and son in-law, that her daughter gave up nobility to pursue a farmer boy, much like Thales, causing the queen and her daughter to become estranged. Having regretted the estrangement, the Queen has learned and accepted that love can come from anywhere and that it's not risking loved ones over a misunderstanding of the concept. Thales, not having known this history, is surprise but gains a much deeper respect from the royal family after learning it. He promises to keep the story to himself.
As it pours rain outside, Thales spots the royal siblings escaping from the palace. Seeing as the other guests insist on following them, Thales joins them to see where the royal siblings had planned to go. They find them in the forest by a lone-shared grave. It's revealed to be the gravesite of their parents, one they visit from time to time.
The royal twins return to the castle with the guests, as everyone dries and warms themselves from the rain. The group starts to share stories together, as Thales shares about a festival he went to where he snuck away with the mayor's daughter to his family barn to make-out (and probably more), earning the scorn of the mayor of the town.
Thales checks in with a glum River, who reveals that the season has been hard for her, but it's been steadily getting better. He reassures her that everyone here enjoys her company, and that she can always rely on him and their friends. After touching his hand, in a show of gratitude, Thales is afraid she might have feelings for him, reminding him of the time his own unrequited feelings to Hussein. He doesn't want to put River through that and decides it's time he confronts his own feelings. For Aeliana.
