Ashlyn Perry, a rising senior in the Movement Science Honors Program at the University of Michigan School of Kinesiology, minoring in Disability Studies, was among five summer interns who spent time with disability health experts in the Department of Family Medicine and the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (as well as from other Michigan Medicine departments) during the MDisability and Center for Disability Health & Wellness 2026 summer internship.
Perry discusses what motivated her to participate in the internship, as well as the projects she completed during the nine-week internship. Perry describes herself as a young white woman with long brown hair, wearing a blue shirt and grey blazer.
