Wisconsin political recalls at the state level may be over for the time being, but Ashland is facing their own local recall election of their mayor. Tuesday is the primary and with five candidates, the competition is fierce.
The recall began back in May when a group called "Citizens to Recall Whalen" began circulating a recall petition. The group, led by a city councilor, claims Mayor Bill Whalen is inefficient and neglects his duties. Mayor Whalen said the recall is a sign of the times.
