Hey guys!
My comprehensive thoughts on the Ranger Archetype in Ashes of Creation's Alpha 2 are in this video. Overall I think the archetype is effective, but i think the strengths of it don't fall in line with traditional ranger strengths. In this video I outline my view of a ranger as well as what i perceive the typical direction of a bow based ranger as well. I just don't think it stands out enough right now in this state to be an effective augment.
Spamming aoes doesn't really play in line with what I think a ranger is and I think leaning into a stronger definition will help when augments come online later.
