Ash and Iris became close friends during Pokémon Black & White, travelling and battling together while watching each other grow as Pokémon Trainers. Iris eventually became a Champion and one of the Masters 8 alongside Ash Ketchum, Cynthia, Leon, Steven Stone, Diantha, Lance, and Alain, in Pokemon Journeys.
