Ascended is a Finnish Death metal band ,formed in 2006 in Pori by three young metalheads. First unaware of which course the band should take musically, along two members added to the band later, the style finally evolved to the traditional way of Death metal. The musical influences were sought from the Finnish Old-School bands like Abhorrence, Demigod, Demilich and Amorphis and American bands such as Death and Morbid Angel. After recordings of the end of 2007 and sorting out the coverart issues, band finally released their first demo "The Art of Necromancy" in 2008. In addition to the hand numbered demos ( coverart featured in video ), Aural Offerings Records distributed the bands demo with a different, red coverart.
Band's first EP "Temple of Dark Offerings" was released by Enucleation records in 2009.
Vocalist of Ascended is also featured in two other local underground bands: in STENCH OF DECAY and CHAINSAW DISMEMBERMENT as bassist.
