Ever since moving to an area with no sirens, I've been itching to go out and catch a siren going off for an actual emergency. Well, today, I finally got that wish. Woke up this morning and noticed an enhanced risk of storms for the area and decided I'd make my move with this 128 in Waukesha once the storms came around. About an hour prior to the warning, I ventured out in my Odyssey, set up, and waited for the storms to come. I almost gave up after 45 minutes of waiting, but my boyfriend told me over the phone to wait it out, and I'm VERY glad I listened because all of a sudden, MKX dropped a TOR for my area. It was super exciting and the 128 (installed by SWS, RIP Tom) was loud despite running a bit slow compared to really healthy 128s. At one point at the beginning and at the end of the sound off, you can hear another 128 nearby that sounds really low pitched and gross. Hopefully Waukesha gets new batteries for their sirens soon. Absolutely love how this 128 looks with all the lightning going on around it. Anyways, hope you all enjoy the video!
The city of Waukesha tests their system of 128s every Friday at 9:30 AM in the spring, summer, and fall months.
Pls no steal the video!!! Resuse is allowed with permission.
