As we continue the the 'Year of the Lever' theme in 2025, I'm getting my sticky little barista paws dirty in a new series as I rebuild a vintage espresso machine: a 1977 Olympia Cremina.

Since this is the first installment of the series, we'll be taking a look at what we have, what we don't, and getting inside the machine to assess its possible gremlins, and what it'll need to once again pull those legendary direct lever espresso shots.
