'Living My Life' is a fresh take on the contemporary Amapiano scene, a melting pot of global talent and influences spiced up in a way that only Nando’s can.
South African producer Nkulee’s production is a superb blend of thumping Amapiano and exceptional musicality teamed with beautiful electric piano and live bass. The rhythm feels familiar but is juxtaposed with R&B chords akin to classic Neo-Soul records. Teni's vocals are free formed but still delivered with purpose, the infectious lyrics creating an uplifting listening experience.
Pushing the boundaries of what it means to 'Mix It Up', US Rap heavy-hitter A$AP NAST joins Teni on the track, and although an unlikely collaboration, it's a perfect fit for a project fuelled by the beauty of unexpected combinations. A$AP Nast's verse is punchy and straight to the point, delivered with all the swagger you'd expect in a short-but-sweet package.
