It’s easy to close ourselves off and say, “I’m never going to trust anyone again.” And for a time, grief may lead us down that path—we might need space to be alone and to lament well. But down the road, we need to reconsider finding a Christian community that can be with us. That’s why we must never stop gathering with one another, as Paul reminds us. It might not be the same community you’ve been part of for 5, 10, or even 30 years, it very well should not be, but meeting together with other believers remains vital for every Christian. As you're able to safely do so, we encourage you to seek out connections—a few trusted people—who can walk alongside you.
