In 1937 and 1938 Toscanini often conducted in the Netherlands. His only concert that was recorded on glassacetates was the concert that took place in The Building of Art and Science (Het Gebouw voor Kunsten en Wetenschappen) in The Hague. This concert was broadcast on marz 23, 1938 by radiocorporation the VARA under supervision of its director classical-music: Hans Kerkhof. This man was during a long time an enormous promotor of classic music in The Netherlands.
