Flower City Arts Center 2019 Artist-in-Residence Fernando Muller chats with us about his upcoming AIR exhibition, his close subject matter, and what the art form of photography means to him.
Fernando was born in Lima, Peru and moved to the United States at the age of 13. He graduated from The College at Brockport in 2017 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art with a concentration in Photography. For the past 3 years, Fernando has volunteered, and has been a Photography Teacher for Studio 678 at the Flower City Arts Center. He is excited to start a new journey as an Artist In Residence for the 2019-2020 year, as he opens a new platform to have conversations regarding gender, sexuality, and immigration.
