In this video, I talk about my current projects and stacks of artwork in progress. I show you a beautiful original art piece by @arenagallery.art (Montreal Artist). I talk about mounting watercolour paper works to cradled wood panel, and the benefits of trying "toned" paper, such as Strathmore black, tan, or grey mixed media paper. I refer to Bob Blast's youtube video on how to use Dorland's Wax medium over watercolour works at youtube.com/watch?v=WSdl-XVcZr4 . I discuss sawtooth picture hangers for hanging wood panel and canvas pieces, and my favourite matte gel medium (AKA, art glue), from Curry's Art Supply in Toronto, Canada. I love using water-based Sharpie acrylic paint pens for the edges of my mini wood panels, and as an accent in my mixed media work. I reference Amanda Evanston, a Chicago based artist and teacher who runs a monthly membership called "the insider's studio", which is a fantastic resource for artist's interested in her style. I showed the "disco chicken's" that I'd painted while I was a member. I talk about how I found my artist style and how you can too.
