Part 10 is up! I'm happy with the beginning, but I'm kind of blah about the ending. The editing got a little sloppy. I had to get creative with some scenes. Haha, anyways, here it is! Thanks again so much for the comments and feedback!
Plot:
After the reunion, Arthur watches as Lancelot and Gwen share looks. He is clearly jealous. When Gwen goes to talk to him, he gets angry and asks her why she came. She gets angry and walks away with Lancelot witnessing. Meanwhile, Merlin goes to check on Morgana. Arthur tries to find Gwen in the woods and apologize. Gwen have already forgotten the argument. She cares too much for him to stay mad. They discuss the battle, and Arthur is worried for his people. Gwen encourages him that he is doing the best he can. Gwen and Arthur are overwhelmed with their intimacy and go to kiss, when suddenly they remember their surroundings. Lancelot notices their awkwardness, as do the others. Nobody saw the almost kiss.
As night approaches, everyone settles at the campfire preparing for battle. Arthur and Gwen share looks full of longing, witnessed by the camp. Merlin later talks with Merlin in the tent about Gwen.
In the morning, everyone prepares for battle. (This is where the editing starts to get sloppy. Haha.) As Queen Anne's Army attacks, everyone does their best to defend themselves. Morgana is injured during the battle, and Arthur calls everyone to pull back and retreat. They rush Morgana to a safe place, and Merlin stays with her. Arthur is horrified. He does not want to see any of his men and loved ones die. He makes a decision to talk to the Queen.
Gwen sees Arthur sneak out and follows him in disguise. She witnesses Arthur's conversation with the Queen. He has agreed to a duel with her champion in return for peace and the stop of the battle. When Arthur leaves, Gwen confronts him, begging him not to put himself at risk. He cannot do as she asks, and she walks off in tears.
Ok, sorry if that was confusing at all. Next part will hopefully make more sense! ^_^
