Part 9! Thanks everyone SO much for the comments. I appreciate it.
Plot:
The beginning starts off with Morgana visiting Uther, and Gaius trying to reassure her that he will get better. Meanwhile, in Morgana's chambers, Gwen is running about, tidying things up. Lancelot is in the room with her, resting on the floor. He notices that her mind is very preoccupied with thoughts, and he asks her what is the matter. She finally confesses that she still wishes that woman should be able to go fight the war with the men. Lancelot laughs, amazed at her bravery. They share an intimate moment, and Gwen is confused about her feelings for him. As the days pass, Gwen watches from the tower, hoping to hear some news of Arthur and his knights. She busies herself by watching over Uther and Morgana.
One night Morgana has a bad dream that Merlin is injured. Gwen comforts her. Morgana tells her about the dream. In that moment, Gwen decides she must do something. As Arthur's men prepare for battle miles away, so does Gwen. She begins forging her armor and swords. As she prepares to leave, Morgana appears at her door. So does Lancelot. They confront her. She is about to start arguing when Morgana responds that they will go with her.
They set out on the road the next morning as Gaius stays to watch over the King. Meanwhile, Arthur and his men prepare for the final battle. His knights let him know they will die with honor for him. Lancelot and the women stop for rest in the night. Lancelot stands guard. As Gwen sleeps, and dreams of Arthur, and he dreams of her.
Gwen awakes in the night to find Lancelot awake. She tells him he needs to sleep. She gently touches his hand. He stares at her with an intense gaze, and overwhelmed by her feelings, she kisses him. Lancelot is surprised and overjoyed, for he has been wanting to kiss her for a long time now, but afraid to do so. Gwen is upset though, and regrets the kiss. She cares for Lancelot. He has been a great companion and friend. But as much as she's tried to move on, she is still in love with Arthur, and the kiss has confirmed it for her.
The next morning they set off again. As they approach the war territory, Arthur and his knights her horses and footsteps. They attack the noise, and Arthur is face to face with Guinevere. He is shocked and very happy to see her. Lancelot watches as they hug and the way Gwen falls into his arms. Arthur catches Lance's gaze, and lets go of Gwen. Merlin and Morgana spot eachother, and with relief smile and share a gaze. The chapter ends with Arthur and Lancelot shaking hands and Gwen watching them both.
Ok, thats it. Sorry for long summary! ^_^ If anything is confusing, let me know
