Ok, chapter 13 is finally here!
It took a little to finish this one because I was still trying to figure out the story line. Overall, I'm happy with the chapter. I hope you all will enjoy. Once again, thanks SO much for the previous comments and views. I appreciate it. Take care!
Plot:
Some weeks have passed since Uther's death. Arthur is now King and has been adjusting to his new role. Meanwhile, Gwen has been keeping her engagement a secret. Her reason to Lancelot was that Arthur was grieving over his father, and did not need a wedding going on at the moment. Morgana knows about Gwen and Lancelot, and questions her about her secrecy in the past days.
Gwen runs to Merlin and finally confesses her engagement to Lancelot. He tells her to speak with Arthur. Gwen tries to talk with Arthur in his chambers, but chickens out. Instead they spend the whole afternoon talking. Morgana shows up late at night when Gwen has not reported to her room.
In her room, Morgana confronts Gwen, letting her know she will not spill her secret to Arthur. The days pass, and Arthur competes in a jousting tournament. The knights are afraid to injure him, and he is upset that they are treating him differently. That knight, he has dinner with Gwen and confesses his worries of being a King.
Lancelot asks Merlin if Arthur has feelings for Gwen. Merlin tries to explain that everyone is drawn to Gwen because she is a good person. As Lancelot stops by to see Gwen, he sees Arthur leaving. In the Castle, Morgana and Merlin talk about their friends, and how they can help them still.
At the end of the chapter, Merlin tries to tell Arthur about Gwen and Lancelot, but he refuses to talk about Gwen.
