Michael Rotondi has practiced and taught architecture locally and internationally for over forty years, always operating from his base in Los Angeles. He was a founding Partner of Morphosis (1975-1991), founding Principal of RoTo Architects (1991-present), and a co-founder of SCI-Arc, where he co-created and directed the Graduate Program (1978-1987), was the second Institute Director from 1987-1997, and currently teaches as Distinguished Faculty. Throughout four decades, practice and teaching have become complimentary halves of one activity: growing and deploying an Architectural Mind that is curious, cross-disciplinary, and quintessentially problem-solving.
