Money can be a sensitive subject, but now that we are facing a potential financial crisis in the US and elsewhere, it’s even more important than ever to explicitly make plans and even shift our mindsets to best serve the situation, ourselves, our families, our art. You and I are inevitably in different situations, so it seems bonkers to even suggest anything to anyone right now…but I hope hearing my plans might trigger ideas for you in your own art practice and/or business. And what I do know is that this potentially scary time is one that we can try to get through together. Maybe by helping each other out we’ll all come out the other end a little stronger as artists, more resilient as humans, and more connected as a community.
