Cinematographer, Levin Mundinger has created a delicate, intimate portrait of his good friend, Chrisanne Blennerhassett, her art practice, and printmaking studio. Levin utilized the Lecia SL2-S with the ATOMOS NINJA V to craft a very specific look for the film, one that emphasizes the deepness of the shadows and brightness of the highlights. By combining his camera with the NINJA V, Levin was able to record in Apple ProRes RAW and that meant he could use Apple Final Cut Pro to modify ISO settings, exposure offsets, and color temperature during post-production. The tools gave Levin ample opportunity to experiment with the properties of the image and perfect every shot.
The Leica SL2-S features an all-metal, state-of-the-art body that has been constructed for long-term durability and to protect the latest 24-megapixel BSI-CMOS sensor. It offers separate photo and video modes to maximise performance and always offer an optimal experience. When the camera is combined with the NINJA V or NINJA V+ can create 4K, 12-bit linear ProRes RAW at up to 60fps.
ATOMOS now offers Apple ProRes RAW recording for over 40 cameras. ProRes RAW combines the visual and workflow benefits of RAW video with the incredible real-time performance of ProRes. The format gives filmmakers enormous latitude for adjusting the image during post. ProRes RAW is fully supported by the major NLEs and a range of other post-production tools.
