I have to admit, this one made me smile the moment I saw it.
We’re so used to seeing Optimus Prime as a red and blue truck that when he suddenly turns into a pirate ship, it’s completely wild… It’s the kind of crazy idea that reminds you there’s still plenty of room for imagination in Transformers.
The figure itself is simple, with an easy transformation and limited articulation, exactly what you’d expect from a line aimed at younger collectors. I picked it up because it’s just plain fun, and I appreciate Hasbro trying something completely unexpected with one of the most iconic characters in the franchise.
And yes… Mirage is here too. 😄
