Just before 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, Tower 35 and Medic 31 responded to a vehicle fire on S. Havana St. at E. Briarwood Ave. in Centennial. The driver heard a "pop" sound before seeing smoke coming from the battery compartment in the trunk. The driver quickly exited the vehicle, dialed 911 and thankfully no injuries occurred.
