Here's how Twitch ARRchive Parley works!
My system is designed so that you can simply submit something during a stream and tune in again the following week to hear my response (or find it here on YouTube in about a week), but the following is a more detailed explanation of how it works and why, if you just want to know.
During my livestreams, I offer a link which lets you submit stuff for next week's ARRchive Parley; it's a simple survey form. I record a quick video responding to everything in there right before each stream starts, clearing out submissions I've answered as I go. I then play that video in the middle of each stream.
It's uninterrupted entertainment for you, and it's a quick break for me, in which I can hit the restroom, get some water, a snack, etc. These streams are nonstop discussion for several hours, so the break really helps. As a bonus, sometimes the break makes it easier to do something on a stream, like presenting a beverage using cold ingredients for Drink of the Day, another regular stream interlude.
Each of my weekly stream times has its own link, the idea being that I'll respond to what you submit that same time the next week, when you'll hopefully be free! For example, if you submit something on a Thursday stream, I respond to it the next time I stream on a Thursday. The links tell you what day of the week they're for.
Even if nobody asks, I post a given stream slot's ARRchive Parley form at the end of the break and again at the end of the stream, so people have a chance to submit anything they think of during a stream.
One purpose of ARRchive Parley is as a demo for full-length Parley, since it's one of the ways I make a living, and presenting the link even unprompted often causes folks to realize they have something they want to discuss where they might not have otherwise. You have interesting things to say, and I've found this an effective way to call those thoughts to the surface!
Finally, because my system works through recording a short video anyway, it's easy to pass that video file on to this channel afterward! No editing or anything required. Here, responses get a second chance at finding you, and of course you have an archive of your response in case you want to go back to it later.
