"Ever had one of those games where you don’t know what to expect from it, you have no idea what you’re going to play and you don’t know if its going to be good or not, only to find the game better than you thought. Armored Warriors (known in Japan as Powered Gear – Strategic Variant Armor Equipment (パワードギア)was released in 1994 for the CPS-2 system board, it’s a mecha themed beat ‘em up.
In the year 2281, a long war between the United World Forces and the Raian Kingdom has come to an end and they just decided to sign a truce. One year later, Azrael, a former Raian army captain, converted himself into a cyborg in Order to become ‘the perfect warrior’…of Street Fighter (just kidding), he tries to take over the world by kidnapping civilians and turning them into cyborgs. The United World Government decided to bring in some mechs controlled by the best of the best to defeat Azrael."
