History of Japanese rule in Korea (since 1910). Footage of Japanese surrender ceremony in Seoul in 1945. Establishment of 38th parallel dividing line between Russian Troops and US Troops. Footage of US soldiers searching Japanese soldiers as they are being sent back to Japan. Footage of Korean citizens returning to Korea from Japan (where they had been forced to work).
Since the US and Russia can't agree on uniting the Northern Zone and Southern Zones of Korea, the US is working to establish a sound government in Korea.
Over 100,000 bags of mail were sent to the Northern Zone. Only 4 bags were sent in return. There are many refugees coming from the Northern Zone, where a Soviet type government was implemented.
This is the first time in over 40 years that (south) Koreans have had complete control over their own crops.
The US is shipping seeds, grains and other foods and other urgent necessities.
