When Al Di Meola asked Armand Sabal-Lecco to join his band for his (last electric) "Elegant Gypsy & More" tour, he asked Armand to play with a pick ... something he rarely (never) does. Armand was totally good natured about the demand, and gladly accepted the challenge, respecting Di Meola as one of the world's finest guitarists, and knowing he would benefit greatly from the experience.
