Earlier there was quite a bit of Drama about Ark Survival Evolved being shutdown in favour of its remaster Ark Survival Ascended, which then also had to be re-bought. Then when people got mad, the developer decided to make the initial pre-order bonus for the 60$ Ark 2, a stand-alone that you would have to buy for 50$. Making what at first at least seemed like a weird, but decent inclusion an annoying seperate rebuy.
Of course this remake is mainly aimed to tie people on current gen consoles over with an updated version.
I personally have a unique history with Ark Survival Evolved... it's actually the first game I ever refunded on Steam; the feature had just launched and Ark ran so extremely poorly at it's initial launch back in 2015 that I found the perfect target to try out the refund feature on.
Is Ark Survival Ascended going to be any good, or is Ark 2 getting any more delays? Time will tell!
