Mark 12 begins with a parable to display the authority of a son as sent by the father to be equally authoritative answering questions to Jesus' authority. Then, He responds to a question of allegiance to God or to Caesar, honing into the first and greatest commandment to love the Lord God with all the heart. And finally, a question is offered back of who they say Jesus is - a question of acknowledgment.
