~Announcement~
Hey everyone! If you hadn’t heard…I have been working on a secret project behind the scenes, which i can finally reveal to y'all! However, I haven’t been working on it alone…but rather it’s a collaboration project with Alexzn Mashups!
As of today, this mashup you’re listening to is the first single of our upcoming Ariana Mashup Album, called "Thank U Sweetener!"
In the mashup album, we will be featuring many of our favorite tracks from “Sweetener” & "Thank U, Next!" We’re planning to release “Thank U, Sweetener” sometime this month, so stay tuned for more information upcoming in the future!

~Mashup Description~
Anyways, when I heard borderline when Sweetener came out…I always felt that the vocals would really fit a 90’s inspired dance track…I tested out random ideas, and eventually led to 1999…I thought that I’d spice up the instrumental with some 90’s dance elements to it.
Since the Nintendo 64 was thriving around that era, and the 1999 video focused on the past and wanting to re-live it once more, I wanted to somehow pay homage to an amazing Nintendo console that was a big part of my childhood (Even to this day I still play Mario 64 sometimes 😃).
Because of this...The cover-art and the intro of the mashup are heavily inspired by the N64 (Nintendo don't sue me plz I'm broke 😅)...and tbh I had so much fun composing a cute rendition of 1999 using Mario 64 samples I found online. (I'll be eventually linking 2 downloads for the mashup, one version which will have the intro & the other without it.)
I spent countless hours day and night working on this mashup, pretty much destroying my ears (and sanity 💀) in the process...However, I tried my hardest to make the best version of this mashup with the materials that I had, so I really hope that y’all enjoy it! I put a large amount of love into this mashup, so I really hope y’all will love it too 😊

So last week I had to get some new headphones since my old ones went and RIP’d on me. Besides the fact that everything sounds 1000% different than I’m accustomed to, which is kinda throwing me off a lot when mixing lol, they’re pretty nice IMO.
But because of that, I’m highkey considering this as a simple practice mashup xD. Once I get into the groove of these headphones and adjust, I’ll go back to making more of the usual over-layered mashups that yall love. ^_^

This idea is something I’ve had on the back burner since early 2017, and I never really got around to spending time on it until recently. The first time Ive heard Heart to Break was through a mashup that Dellas Mashups did with Selenas Fetish (which is a bop that ill link below).
The vocals in the chorus really reminded me of the Synths & Bass in Into You. The bridge was a bit difficult to do since Heart To Break lacks a proper bridge or Adlibs, so I kinda just free-styled it so it wouldnt sound as empty xD. Anyways, Hope you enjoy!

Im so so sorry that Im not able to post the full version of the mashup on Youtube...I seriously havent experience this level of Copyright in a long time now, and suddenly the algorithm wants to fight me on a two year old song lol.
