As his foe gives up the fight, Link hears a voice on the wind, like a call from his own past – Princess Zelda speaking to him from afar, warning of the dangers that have befallen Termina.
Each of the five Great Fairies have been corrupted, overcome by darkness and twisted into shadow puppets of a greater power – none other than the Gerudo King himself, Ganondorf, who has found a way out of the Sacred Realm and into the land of Termina.
This is all she knows for now, but is scouring the land in search of clues as to how he escaped, and how they might re-condemn him to his sacred prison.
For now, she teaches Link a powerful song which could help to bring the Great Fairies back to their former, peace-loving selves – the Aria of Harmony…
