This is a 3 minute guide on if you can use Energy Accelerant WITH 3 stacks of Argent Ordnance to increase your Chain Reaction Rocket Damage. Yes. Yes, you can. This video gives you the results of a good 4 hours worth of firing rockets at Kalli. This was a nightmare to test and I've cut the whole story right down to how I worked out the end result.
The full story goes like this: It was really difficult to measure. I started with a lost sector boss, but there was no way of seeing what was the chain react numbers and what wasn't, so I started rocketing the boss with an add next to him, hoping the splash damage would kill the add and then create the explosion after so I could see the numbers that way - didn't work because chain react often doesn't proc on direct hits.
So I went to Shuro Chi (2nd last wish boss) and tried to fire into a huge swarm of adds to kill some then create the chain reaction explosion. But the chain react numbers appear at the same time as the initial numbers even if the animation appears later. So then I tried firing a rocket at many adds with a big add next to them. If the non buffed chain reaction wouldn't kill the add, but a buffed chain reaction could then I could see that it was working. No dice, the initial explosion killed it outright.
That's when I came upon the Kalli idea, using her as a measure and firing rockets to get the core damage and then minus it from the wipe screen.
It was an evening of many, many rockets.
