Area 27 “Short Course” Oct 2016 Session 2
2009 Nissan GT-R (current bolt-ons running 435 whp mustang approx. 3600lb)
Due to rainfall and flooding. The sand burst out on the track.
I’m the “lucky” few that get to drive the short course with sand all over.
At least I get to see one of my favourite car. Darren’s NISMO GTR
Data shows the short course goes to top speed of 185-190 km/h and brakes down to 55-60 km/h three times in one lap. It is very hard on brakes especially with the three-year brake fluid I was getting brake fade within a few laps. It actually feels very similar to Mission Raceway.
Personal Best that day Total of 13 laps: 1:11.9
It was definitely cold at 10 degree C.
Having issues using the 305/35/18 NT01 tires. Trouble with putting the power down. Diameter may be too small. My cheap all around 285/35/20 Goodyear F1 (2012 production) ran few seconds faster the same day in the afternoon. In addition the wheel weights fell off causing major vibration issues anything over 140+ km/h
