If you are spending more time looking for brushes than actually painting, this video is for you. Here are five tricks that will change how you navigate and organize your Procreate brush library.
1. The Recents folder and pinning: Procreate keeps track of brushes you have used recently. Swipe left on a brush in Recents and tap Pin to keep it at the top permanently.
2. Switching between brush libraries: Pinch in with two fingers on the brush menu to zoom out and see all your libraries at once. Or tap the arrow next to the library title and hit Back to Libraries.
3. Copying versus moving brushes: Drag a brush and drop it on the title of a set to copy it into that set while keeping the original. Wait for the set to flash open and drop it on the right side to move the original. Use the title drop method to build your own custom sets with favorite brushes.
4. Importing new brushes: Tap the plus icon at the top right of your brush library, tap Import, and select your brush or brush set file. Procreate installs it at the top of your library instantly. You can also open a secondary window and drag and drop the file directly.
5. The search function: Pull down on the brush list to reveal the search bar and type in the brush name. Procreate will find it instantly, no matter which folder or library it is in.
