What influence do you have on your children?
You can raise them in the fear and admonition of the Lord, guard them against the sinful influences and temptations of the world. Parents are responsible for faithfully teaching the things of God to their children.
You have a responsibility before God to use your influence with your children for His glory and their good. But the weight of their eternity is not on your shoulders—remember, they’re not born morally neutral. God will use whatever means He chooses to draw His people to Himself. Pray He will use you in the lives of your children and trust that He is faithful even through your failures.

Paul Washer became a believer while studying at the University of Texas. After graduating, he moved to Peru and served there as a missionary for ten years, during which time he founded the HeartCry Missionary Society in order to support Peruvian church planters. HeartCry’s work now supports indigenous missionaries throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Eurasia, North America, and Latin America.
