I used to think sewing was… "Pattern + Fabric = Garment". But not anymore!
This is how most of us begin on our sewing path, of course. But, if you’ve ever finished a project and felt a little disappointed, like it didn’t turn out how you imagined, you’re ready to take the next step and start thinking about sewing differently!
The truth is, what’s missing in this equation is Planning.
It's planning that gives you the space to design and customise the style, upgrade seam and hem finishes, choose your own sewing techniques, and even create a map for a perfect fit.
When you learn to know your own taste, you choose fabrics that feel right, details that suit your style, and finishes that upgrade your garment and help make it last for years.
This missing step to the sewing equation is what I specialise in and love to teach others.

This is exactly what we’ll be doing in the Design-a-Skirt Workshop & Event beginning Oct. 1st
Over 8 weeks, I will be teaching sewists of all skill levels how to plan, design, and sew their own skirts together, step by step.
