HI KASTLE HAPPY BIRTHDAY I'M SORRY THIS IS FOUR DAYS LATE HAHAHA. we have been editor friends for... a handful of years now, I can't believe I've gone this long without doing the Birthday AMV Tradition(TM) for you!!! time to remedy that!!!

more than anything, I wanted to make an AMV that (I hope) has lots of substance to chew on... your videos are all BRILLIANT and I find myself thinking about them for days. it's the best feeling to watch one of your videos and come away with a renewed appreciation for the source material, and I really want to give that feeling to you in return!

for this video, it was between a Naezono AMV or a Hajime/Natsumi one. in the end, the latter won out, because the world needs more Natsumi Kuzuryuu in it. and then Hajime got less and less screen time in the video until it became a Natsumi character study(?) so here we have it! a video of your girl :D (while editing, I realized she only has one episode of screentime...? which made it a challenge to keep this visually interesting, but also I was shocked at how strong of an impression she left in 20 minutes!)

I wasn't sure which songs or artists you like -- but I figure you can never go wrong with Marina and the Diamonds! Are You Satisfied (and a lot of her songs tbh) remind me of the Reserve Course cast. it IS a pretty overused song, especially in DR AMV circles, so I apologize... but I found this lovely acoustic live version to hopefully keep it fresh-sounding and a little more your style? :'D you have described your music taste as "pretentious" before lol I hope this is satisfactory :P

thank you for being such a wonderful friend to me! for going out of your way to give me advice, for always trading thoughts with me on editing, for telling me about your world and the things that excite you -- I'm really grateful we got to meet and talk. I know I am the WORST at keeping in touch/texting OTL but you are a treasure and I cherish your friendship.
