What if you could only read one book per year. Which book would you choose? It's hard to pick just one, so let's make it easier and say you can only read 12 books per year.
You would be much more selective about the books you read, right?
Knowing that we don't have a limit on the books we can read fundamentally changes how we engage with books, but not necessarily for the better.
If we are more discerning with our book choices, we are likely to not only appreciate the books we read more, but we are also apt to simply make better choices from the start.
In this video, I make a case for "pretending" that we have limited choices in our reading, because technically, we do, and that limitation comes from our time. We will only be able to read so many books in our lifetime, so choose those books wisely!
