How are behaviors formed? How reducible is an identity to a region of the brain or an event in our lives? In this video I'm looking at the fields of philosophy, sociology, primatology, evolutionary biology, and neuroscience to try and answer this question!

*In relation to the question of a tree producing sound. In the video while I state "third party" this could easily be construed as anthropomorphic. In fact what I'm saying here is there must be a creature present that can enact sound, this does not need to be a human. I don't wish to imply that humans are the only creatures that can enact worlds, so if for example a tiger, or monkey, or cat had been present and interpreting the vibration of particles as sound, that material practice and sense making takes place, and the sound does exist as an ontological property.
*In relation to the double slit experiment. I fail to elaborate how the interaction between particle and observer articulates. The implication here is not that there is A) a subject/object distinction (on the basis of enactivism there is none) or B) that via observation are passively observing pre-given world. The observation of particles turning into waves is not a passive one, but a dynamic and active role involving both our physical bodies and the tools through which we view the phenomena. Again we are not simply watching a particle/wave distinct from ourselves, change on it's own, but rather embodying and taking part in that interaction.

*In regards to the lineage or our DNA. I do not wish to imply a chain of causation as Robert Sapolsky does as an ontological determinist, but rather to demonstrate a moving complexity. The past is in conversation with the present. There is not past/present dichotomy when it comes to individual ontologies. Biologically organisms evolved together with environment through reciprocal interaction, and thus constructed behaviors are both genetic and ecological in their inheritance.
