Okay, I joined my mom and sister to a Spanish festival and I thought it would be cool to join. And the thought alone sounded like fun. But when we arrived, the music I heard wasn't Hispanic. It was straight up Cajun music. My momma told me that a band that was played only, I think once, and that was it. So I asked mom, "If this is a Spanish festival why don't they play Hispanic music if it's a Spanish festival?" She didn't have an answer. She just chuckled. I live in Louisiana btw and anytime I hear Cajun music it just doesn't get me moving. But when the Crane Wives play I feel like singing along. Unfortunately. It didn't even feel like a Spanish festival. It's Louisiana baby. In a Catholic town where everything is about Crawfish, Sugar cane and Po boys. Not everyone is looking forward to dancing to Latino music because wE lIvE bY ThE bAyOu and America is great and shit.
