Are unicorns real? No, but there are some horned animals which appear to look like unicorns when they don't grow a normal set of horns or antlers. Any animal that can grow horns or antlers can grow just one horn or even one can break off. Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus used to show a unicorn, but it was just white goat named Lancelot with surgically modified horns. There was a lot of controversy over this fake unicorn and it was eventually removed from the show because it was so disappointing and some considered cruel to the animal.
