During the first round of the Australian Open this year, Aslan Karatsev came within five shots of equaling the record for the most unforced errors in a match, gifting opponent Jaume Munar 107 points through unforced errors.

Karatsev went on to win the match, begging the question: Are unforced errors such a bad thing?
