i went to walt disney world to test if posted ride wait times are actually real. i timed the full wait experience at magic kingdom, epcot, and animal kingdom, starting the second i entered the line until the moment i boarded the ride. this includes classic attractions like pirates of the caribbean, haunted mansion, and expedition everest, where wait times can completely shape your day. if you have ever planned a disney world vacation, checked the my disney experience app nonstop, or adjusted your lightning lane strategy based on posted wait times, this experiment will feel very familiar. sometimes the line moved way faster than expected, and other times the posted time felt wildly optimistic.
