‘The New York Times’ is reporting that collectible popcorn buckets have all-but saved the theatre industry. Collectible popcorn buckets will bring in an estimated $100 million in revenue for AMC in 2026, and other theatre chains and movie studios want in as well. The latest buckets are tied to ‘The Odyssey,’ with one shaped like an IMAX camera and another shaped like the Trojan horse, both of which reportedly sold out instantly.
