Hello From Hawaii | Are Foreign Buyers Really Buying Up Hawaii? (or at least why it feels that way) @HelloFromHawaii | Uploaded February 2024 | Updated October 2024, 5 hours ago.
With Hawaii experiencing a housing crisis, should the State ban foreign investors from buying homes here? It seems that foreign buyers get a lot of the blame for the current housing market in Hawaii. And while they do have a small impact on the market, the data doesn't seem to support the public perception that foreign buyers are scooping up homes from local buyers. So I wanted to take a closer look at the data and also talk about why the numbers may not be revealing the entire story.
