I was thinking of a way to post something for our country's #IndependenceDay because I was feeling a little patriotic last week and lo and behold, I remembered that I have bought some 8x8 RGB LED matrix last year, just gathering dust (not really. it's in a box) .
So, I have decided to use them, I have also added the 8x24 matrix that I have daisychained last holiday season to complete a set of 16x32 matrix.

After daisychaining, I tried to use Glediator, only to be disappointed later on. I used 2 different Arduino® UNOs, even a MEGA, used different USB ports available on my PC, installed a variation of x64 RXTX comms from different websites for the Java, but the darn thing just won't show the COM ports, so I rage quit and uninstalled everything related to it. lol.
I also thought of just buying a whole 16x32 matrix to make my life easier. I also tried using the Adafruit Matrix Library, but it does not work on the ones that I have available here (I think) then I thought..."Hmm. I just needed to think of a way to display a simple shape anyway. How hard could it be?"
So, I settled for a simpler, but more time consuming solution.
I used the FastLED Library and applied color to it manually. YES, MANUALLY. PIXEL BY PIXEL.

The first time I heard about the news that #Tamiya has released a jeepney inspired body, I couldnt resist the urge to buy one.
It reminded me of the days when I was still in grade school. I still remember bringing my 2 Tamiya 4WD minis with me everyday, together with a toolbox. I was in 3rd grade back then and my 2 cars are called Victory Magnum and Vanguard Sonic, if I remember correctly.
Hell, there was even a Tamiya race track and competition on our school fair, but I couldnt compete because I was too shy to ask the staff. lol.
Aaaahh.. those were the days... the days where computer games and high-speed internet are not that common yet...
Man, Im old.

This is an unboxing and setup guide video about the Lepy formerly Lepai LP-838 Mini amplifier for your car or desktop PC.
If you have some functioning/working speakers from your old or broken hi-fi or entertainment system that are currently not in use and just gathering dust on the storage room, this is one of the best and cheapest things you can use to bring those old woofers back in service.
I used 2 front speakers and 1 sub from our old Pioneer VS500 DVD/Hi-Fi System from 18 years ago.
Used my PC as sound source or input while looking for something more suitable for the size of my desk, because, as you can see, the speakers are a bit bulky and taking a lot of space.
Im planning on transferring the speakers and amplifier on our living room and just use it there rather than buying a sound bar for our TV.
Hmmm.. I dont know what else to say.

Hello. Its been a while, huh?
Hope you guys are all doing fine and staying healthy during these trying times.
This video is a little different from what I used to upload on this channel.
A few weeks during lockdown, I was inspired to try and produce / remix music again.
It was one of my old hobbies that I set aside because its too time consuming and I dont have the talent for it. I mean, I can make melodies on my mind just fine, but I find it too hard to translate it into notes / piano roll, so I gave up on it.
This time it was different. I dont know why, but I really like #HatsuneMiku s version of #Senbonzakura [WhiteFlame (Kuro usa P)] and was inspired to make a #remix of it with the help of some tutorials and other stuff.
So, here it is.
A glimpse of my inner otaku.
After countless iterations, its finally done!
I used FL Studio 20 for the remix.
DaVinci Resolve 16 for editing the video
OBS Studio for recording the FL Studio that was used for the background.
