Intel Technology | Architecture All Access: Meteor Lake – 3D Performance Hybrid Architecture & Thread Director @IntelTechnology | Uploaded October 2023 | Updated October 2024, 7 hours ago.
Intel® Core™ Ultra mobile processors, codename Meteor Lake represent Intel's biggest shift in client SoC architecture in 40 years!
In Architecture All Access Season 3, Episode 2, Rajshree Chabukswar, Intel Fellow for Hardware / Software co-design on Client Platforms at Intel, walks us through an all-access look into the new 3D Performance Hybrid Architecture inside Meteor Lake. With Meteor Lake, we built a dissagregated Compute Tile using new "Crestmont" E-cores and new "Redwood Cove P-cores". We also added a new low power island that includes a set of low power "Crestmont" E-cores directly on the SoC tile, which enables a new level of power efficient performance for a wider range of PC workloads. Rajshree also unpacks the details of the enhancements to Intel Thread Director Technology in Meteor Lake, helping guide the Operating System to schedule the right workloads on the right CPU cores.
Architecture All Access is a master class technology series, featuring Senior Intel Technical Leaders taking an educational approach in explaining the historical impact and future innovations in their technical domains.
