Am I overly zealous about this MEP Part? Yes. Yes I am.
Are Egyptian Gods practically God's fursonas? Yes, yes they are. (Not actually tho that's just a distasteful joke.)
So I bet you're wondering how this idea came into play. Probably not but lets talk about it, shall we?
Originally I had chosen my boys, Jim and Shang. I was excited and had an idea that fit perfectly. But when it came down to it I didn't have the motivation/time anymore to do all the mass amount of masking I expected myself to complete for the MEP part. Once again, Meg was exceptionally patient with my dumbass for my part (bless her entire soul, ilysm). One day I was high as a fuckin cloud and staring at this project wondering how the fuck I could get inspired because I adored the audio so much and the theme. Lovers to Enemies. Bitch how can you go wrong with that?!?! YOU CAN'T!
I was wondering what characters get used the least and Ramses came to mind. Now... I could easily have used a human! Done a classic Cleopatra/Caesar kind of deal. But then it hit me........ Ramses has SOOO many angry scenes and the plague bit is too good. God I could've used Eris for fuck sake! But that wouldn't be accurate now... would it? I thought of it back and forth whether to do Robin or Marian and all while I began blocking it and had asked Meg if I could. AND SHOCKINGLY SHE SAID YES????? MEG IF YOU READ THIS ILY FOR THAT STILL AND I AM NOT OVER THAT.
And here we are. I made an MEP part where Anubis is portrayed by Robin Hood and was previously in a romantic relationship with King Ramses.
Plot:
Falling in love with a god is never simple and never has been. By the gods' will sometimes bad things must happen. Damage, plagues, and death follow suit as the god of the dead, Anubis, oversees the intended destruction and coming Plague demanded by the gods. The destruction of Egypt divides King Ramses and his lover, Anubis. After all, how could you love someone who destroys and kills your kingdom due to the gods' demands?
