Aquatopia CLOSING FOREVER on September 14th, 2026, at Tokyo Disney Sea, Japan! Aquatopia is a unique, one-of-a-kind attraction found only at Tokyo DisneySea, where guests ride vehicles across the water in seemingly random directions! Aquatopia is one of Tokyo DisneySea's opening-day attractions and one of Disney's older Trackless Attractions, just behind Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror at Disney's Hollywood Studios and the now-defunct Ellen's Energy Adventure at EPCOT! Aquatopia is most likely closing for a new attraction coming to Tokyo DisneySea since the attraction takes place on a rather large plot of land. Unfortunately, Aquatopia is one of the only ways for Guests to get wet during their visit to the Tokyo Disneyland Resort, with the only other exception being Space Mountain at Tokyo Disneyland Park. During the Summer, the ride path would be modified to bring guests extremely close to and sometimes into water features like fountains and jets to get wet during the heat! Without Aquatopia, no attraction directly splashes guests to cool them down for the summertime; hopefully, the new replacement will be able to deliver on that experience! This POV of Aquatopia was filmed in late 2018, before filming restrictions were tightened at Tokyo Disney Sea due to overseas tourists dropping their cameras and phones in the water.
